Stephen Fegley

Research Associate Professor, Emeritus

Dr. Fegley is a broadly trained coastal ecologist. His research focuses on experimental and field-based ecological studies applied to shellfish population biology, shellfish aquaculture, meiofaunal ecology, and barrier island ecology. Dr. Fegley is a gifted educator and led IMS’s first NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) field site program. He has taken a teaching position at Barton College in Wilson, NC, but will continue to work at IMS on a part-time basis.
