For UNC faculty and students, small boats are charged at a rate of $18.75 per hour or $150. per day.
For renters not affiliated with UNC, small boats are charged at a rate of $31.25 per hour or $250. per day.
Fuel usage and required personnel overtime for these boats will be charged at cost.
The R/V Caroline is charged at a rate of $75. per hour and $100. per hour for overtime. The clean up fee is $55.

trucks + vans
IMS has a fleet of trucks and vans for use by faculty and students in travel and field work. The charge is 25 cents per mile.

dormitory facility
Student accommodations are comprised of two rooms (one room for female students, one for male). Each room can accommodate 8 students. Linens are not provided.
Faculty accommodations are comprised of two rooms, one for two people and one for four (two bunk beds), plus common room with TV, microwave and refrigerator.
Rates as of 7/1/11
Student Side: $10 per night per person
Faculty Side: $30 per night for one bedroom; $60 for both bedrooms
Cancellations must be made at least 1 week prior to a stay. Groups will be responsible for the cost of all reserved beds that are not cancelled at least 1 week prior to a stay.

diving
The UNC-CH Institute of Marine Sciences is an organizational member of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) and abides by their standards. The charge is $30 per hour.
